Vice President of Transplant
Transplant Leadership Institute has been engaged by Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston, Texas to recruit a Vice President, Transplant. This is an enterprise executive role overseeing kidney, liver, heart, lung, and multi-organ transplant programs across the system. The leader will set the strategic direction of the transplant enterprise, ensuring clinical integration, operational excellence, fiscal stewardship, and regulatory compliance, while partnering closely with physicians and multidisciplinary leaders to drive performance against national quality, safety, patient experience, and financial benchmarks. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Vice President will hold system-level accountability for transplant growth and sustainability, leading multi-year strategic planning, quality oversight, and integration across hospitals, ambulatory sites, and external partners.
Preferred Background
- Bachelor’s degree required; MHA, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience within complex healthcare organizations
- Demonstrated expertise in transplant operations, clinical integration, quality oversight, and financial management
- Proven ability to partner effectively with physicians and senior executives to drive growth, alignment, and performance
