Medical Director of Liver Transplantation

Transplant Leadership Institute LLC has been retained by UT Health Houston and Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas to identify and recruit a Medical Director of Liver Transplantation. The selected candidate will advance and build the Liver Transplant program and will also participate in transplant hepatology services including evaluation of potential candidates, inpatient and outpatient care of solid organ transplant recipients and monitoring clinical outcomes. The candidate will participate in quality and selection committees as well as partnering with surgical colleagues and other members of the team.

The Liver Transplantation Program operates under a shared governance model between Memorial Hermann Hospital and McGovern Medical School, offering a comprehensive range of advanced inpatient and outpatient services, including both surgical and nonsurgical care, for patients requiring organ transplants.

Required Qualifications:

•      MD, DO, or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.

•      Completion of an accredited Transplant Hepatology fellowship.

•      Applicants should have at least five years of post-training clinical practice.

•      Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
