Associate Chief of Transplant Hepatology

Transplant Leadership Institute has been engaged by Loma Linda University Transplant Institute to identify and recruit an Associate Chief of Transplant Hepatology.  The ideal candidate should be board certified or board eligible in Transplant Hepatology and Gastroenterology.

Clinical duties would include outpatient clinic seeing general hepatology, pre- and post-transplant patients, outpatient endoscopy, and inpatient service 1 in 5 weeks.  The position includes teaching students, residents and fellows.  A clinical or health services research focus is encouraged, with a minimum 2 half-days per week protected time provided.

The liver transplant program is one of the largest in California, averaging 120 transplants per year, with satellite clinics in Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Murrieta and the nearby Riverside county hospital. Loma Linda is the only tertiary/quaternary program in the Inland Empire, serving Riverside and San Bernardino counties with a combined population of more than four million. Both the Transplant Institute clinic and the Medical Center hospital are brand new state-of-the-art facilities. Nestled at the foot of the mountains, there are many nearby recreational opportunities, with excellent schools and lower cost of living than many areas in California.
