Associate Chief of Transplant Surgery

Transplant Leadership Institute has been engaged by the Department of Surgery at ChristianaCare in Newark, Delaware to identify and recruit an Associate Chief of Transplant Surgery.

The ideal candidate will join an established program and have experience in all aspects of the renal transplantation process and play an integral role in the continued growth of the program.  Fellowship training in an ASTS accredited abdominal transplantation program and board certification in general surgery are required.  Strong interpersonal skills and experience in meeting the general surgery needs of the renal failure patient in a community setting are preferred.  Opportunity to participate in the training of surgical residents and/or clinical research is available.  Preferred candidates should have experience in program building and quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI) while working as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
