Director of Organ Services

Transplant Leadership Institute has been engaged by Gift of Life Michigan, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to identify and recruit a Director of Organ Services.  The position oversees the day-to-day activities of the Organ Services Managers, Manager of Family Services, Organ Allocation Manager, Organ Recovery Services Manager, Clinical Educator, and the Administrative Assistant.  The position also directs statewide organ referral response and recovery activities and supports clinical education programs.  The Director of Organ Services may also function as an on-call resource manager and collaborates with other directors within the clinical division to accomplish and further the mission of Gift of Life Michigan.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required. Licensure as a registered nurse, physician assistant, or applicable experience and related training will be considered.
  2. A minimum of five years’ experience and expertise in all phases of the organ/tissue donation process and organ preservation, and a minimum of three years’ leadership experience at a level commensurate with the requirements of the position.
  3. Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator certification or eligible through the American Board of Transplant Certification within one year of accepting the position.
