Director of Transplant

Oregon Health and Sciences University Hospital and Clinics (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a Director for their transplant program.  The position will provide transplant program administrative management and leadership, with an emphasis on 24/7 operations, in support of the goals and objectives the organization. The responsibilities include the regulatory, quality, and accreditation of all solid organ transplant programs/services. The leader in this role works in close collaboration with the appropriate surgical/medical directors and hospital administration to manage the physical, financial, and human resource assets of Transplant Services ensuring highly reliable performance. The primary focus of this position is to ensure high quality outcomes through leading, planning, managing, and implementing operational improvement processes and through close partnership with surgical and medical transplant program directors, as well as the entire nursing and ancillary staff

Requirements for the position are: a Bachelors degree relevant to health care or business with Masters also required or achieved within 3 years of hire. Five years of health care management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience in transplantation with knowledge in finance, quality improvement and UNOS/OPTN and CMS policies is a plus.
