Director of Transplant Services

Transplant Leadership Institute has been engaged by Hartford Hospital, in Hartford, Connecticut, to identify and recruit an Director of Transplant Services.  The position will provide strategic leadership for the administrative and operational activities of the Transplant Service line, which includes the Tissue Lab, Clinical Transplants of hearts, livers and kidneys, Hepatology Services, Immunology Lab, transplant Marketing and Public Relations and the Administrative Services. The Director is responsible for managing the Transplant physician practice composed of transplant surgeons, Nephrologists, Hepatologists and Heart Failure Physicians, with an average of 100+ renal transplants per year, 20+ liver transplants per year and 20+ heart transplants per year. In addition, this position requires on-going development and unification of the transplant nephrology patient referral network through communication, support and intervention.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Science, Business, Nursing, Hospital Administration or related healthcare field is required.  Five plus years of experience in the transplant industry, with at least three years of experience as a transplant administrator.
