Lead VAD coordinator

Leading east coast medical center is seeking a lead ventricular assist device coordinator.  The position assesses and coordinates the care and education of inpatients and outpatients being evaluated for ventricular assist device placement or who are post vad placement. Evaluation of potential heart transplant recipients. Activate and follow patients on the waiting list. Admit potential transplant recipients into the hospital for transplant. Assist in the operation of vad and transplant clinic hours. Participate in the on-call schedule.

Qualifications:

Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.  Three years of healthcare experience in cardiac care. Ventricular assist device experience preferred.
