Transplant Administrator

University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts is seeking a Transplant Administrator. The position is responsible for directing and coordinating the development, administration, organization and control of organ transplantation services.  Ensures and facilitates open communication with all staff, to promote improved performance within the service line of Solid Organ Transplant.  Serves as a liaison among the surgeons, physicians, residents, managers, nurses, and administration. Key areas of focus include quality and regulatory, marketing, third party payers, and service line growth and development.

Requirements for the position are a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration or Biological Science required, plus a minimum of five years of experience in a major hospital in health administration. Strong leadership and organizational skills required.  A minimum of 2 years of supervisory/management experience is required, preferably in a transplant setting. Must possess interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management, medical, allied health and administrative personnel.  Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, to work autonomously, and organize, coordinate and monitor project work.  Master’s Degree in Management, Hospital Administration or a related area is preferred.
