Transplant Administrator

University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, Arkansas is seeking an experienced Transplant Director to grow and expand their Liver and Kidney Transplant Services.

Primary responsibilities include:

·         Ensure Department Policies and Procedures are kept up to date to ensure compliance with various regulatory agencies to include: United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), CMS and The Joint Commission (TJC)

·         Ensure operations are consistent with the overall direction, goals and focus of the program to include timely response to regulatory agency audit requests, and verifying that required regulatory forms are submitted on time.

·         Provide ongoing staff supervision including daily operations, hiring, termination, periodic position reviews, and annual performance evaluations.

·         Work with Service Line Leadership to meet goals and budgetary obligations.

Minimum Education and/or Experience:  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (with RN licensure), Health related or Business related;  2  years  direct management  experience in transplant services.   Preferred Education / Experience: Master’s prepared in Heath Services Administration, MBA or Master’s prepared in Nursing (with RN licensure,  5 or more years of experience in solid organ transplant program in an academic medical center setting).
