Transplant Hepatologist

PPG Healthcare, a multi-specialty physician group servicing Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas, is currently seeking a primary Transplant Hepatologist for its new Liver Transplant Program. Qualified candidates will provide transplant services to patients with end stage liver disease, focusing on potential liver transplant recipients, pre transplant workup and evaluation, providing post-transplantation care, and managing immunosuppression. The candidate will participate in patient selection conferences, liver transplant clinic, hepatitis C management, and outreach efforts. Opportunities exist for teaching GI fellows and residents and clinical research.  Candidates for this position should have excellent organizational and communication skills. He/she should be articulate, approachable and collaborative both with internal and external constituents.

The successful candidate: must be board certified in Internal Medicine and GI and have completed a certified Hepatology Transplant Fellowship or have the experience to qualify under the UNOS clinical experience pathway. Graduating fellows are also welcome to apply.
