Vice President of Clinical Operations

Southwest Transplant Alliance (STA) in Dallas, Texas has retained TLI to identify and recruit a Vice President of Clinical Operations.  The Vice President is responsible for planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the Organ and Tissue Recovery Services, Family Care and Hospital Development.  This role includes responsibilities of organizational policy, procedure, protocol application, training and administrative duties.  In addition, this role will oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of staff.  The Vice President is responsible to create a vision that inspires staff to do their best work and promotes success and accountability for results, while honoring the organization’s commitment to its core values and sensitivity to donors and their families.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree required. Master’s degree (MHA, MBA, MSN) strongly preferred.
  • Certification as a Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC) and Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) required.
  • A minimum of ten years’ experience in management required. OPO experience preferred.

STA is among the largest of 58 federally designated, non-profit organ procurement organizations (OPO) and is now ranked in the top five nationally for the highest number of organs transplanted. Founded in 1974, STA has facilitated more than 22,000 organs for recovery and enhanced the lives of more than 100,000 people. STA is a member of the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS) and is accredited by the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO). The organization serves communities in North Texas, Beaumont, Bryan/College Station, Corpus Christi, El Paso, Galveston, Midland/Odessa, Temple and Tyler.
