Vice President/Executive Director

LifeNet Health in Virginia Beach, Virginia is seeking a Vice President/Executive Director for their federally designated organ procurement organization. The position will lead, direct, develop and implement all operations of organ procurement and recovery services including clinical services, hospital development, donor family services, and community education in LifeNet’s donation service area (DSA). The position will also develop and implement strategies that maximize organ donation volumes and consent rates of non-registered citizens resulting in increased numbers of organs available for transplantation, medical therapy, education and research.  Other responsibilities will include: adherence to LifeNet corporate strategies and practices; directing financial performance according to corporate objectives; administrative oversight for a staff of 60+ full time employees plus per diem contracted staff and an annual budget of approximately 20,000,000;  and compliance with all regulatory and industry standards related to CMS, AOPO, OPTN, FDA,  and UNOS.

Requirements for the position are a Master’s Degree in business, healthcare, hospital administration, or public health with 8–10 years of related work experience in complex health related organizations, 5 years of which should be in a top leadership position within the OPO industry.
